What to expect when you attend ATECH
A typical freshman will have a 2-hour block in ATECH and take the rest of their classes as a West High School student.
Students in 10th grade increase their day in ATECH and will receive the majority of their classes with the exception of science through ATECH.
Students in 11th and 12th grades will typically spend their entire day in ATECH.
Students will still need to complete the district requirements for physical education, civics, and personal financial management during their 4 years of high school.
Students are able to participate in all clubs and activities at West High School throughout their 4 years of high school.

Periods 1 and 2: Survey course will introduce freshmen students to the four areas of manufacturing.
3rd period: Algebra cross-enrolled at West
4th period: Civics cross-enrolled at West
5th period: Lunch
6th period: English Language Arts cross-enrolled at West
7th period: Science cross-enrolled at West in Biology
8th period: Elective course at West

Juniors who are eligible can begin working for a local company through a Youth Apprenticeship in their area of emphasis for part of their school day, either in the morning or the afternoon.

4th period: Integrated English Language Arts and US History
5th period: Lunch
6th period: Students select courses from Machining, Welding, Mechanical Design, or Automation/Electronics
7th period: Students select courses from Machining, Welding, Mechanical Design, or Automation/Electronics
8th period: FVTC dual-enrollment Technical Math class
