ATECH Student

What to expect when you attend ATECH

A typical freshman will have a 2-hour block in ATECH and take the rest of their classes as a West High School student.

Students in 10th grade increase their day in ATECH and will receive the majority of their classes with the exception of science through ATECH.

Students will still need to complete the district requirements for physical education, civics, and personal financial management during their 4 years of high school.

"I like that I'm getting more of a hands-on experience rather than sitting at a desk and someone telling me how to do things. I'm learning new techniques. Hands-on works for me because I have to do something to learn it."
